Keisha sat in her car, hands gripping the steering wheel so tightly her knuckles turned white. The eviction notice lay folded in her purse, the pink slip from her job stuffed in the glovebox, and her phone kept buzzing with calls from a bill collector she couldn’t answer. Life had stacked problem on top of problem, and fear was trying its best to drown her. She Didn't Know How She Was Going to Make It...She whispered through tears, “Lord, I don’t know how I’m going to make it. My son needs food, the rent is past due, and I have nothing left.” Her chest tightened as anxiety rushed in like a flood. Yet, somewhere deep inside, she remembered the words her grandmother always spoke: God did not give us a spirit of fear, but of power, love, and a sound mind. With shaking hands, Keisha opened her Bible on the passenger seat. The pages fell to Isaiah 41:10: Fear not, for I am with you; be not dismayed, for I am your God. A small spark of hope flickered in her heart. For the first time in weeks, she felt like maybe—just maybe—God had a plan she couldn’t see. She closed her eyes, prayed for strength, and decided she would walk into her landlord’s office the next morning with faith instead of fear. But as she pulled the key from the ignition, her phone lit up with a call that froze her in place. The screen showed a name she hadn’t seen in years—one that carried both promise and pain. Would this call be her breakthrough… or another storm to face?
